HSC result rescrutiny process 2017 has been declared. HSC and equivalent students will be able to submit the application to re-examine the results. Students will be able to apply for rescrutiny by Teletalk mobile from 24 to 30 July 2017. All education boards will publish their HSC rescrutiny result individually on their own website.
6.25 lakh boys and 5.38 lakh girls from 8,771 institutions took part in this year's HSC and its equivalent examinations beginning on April 2. Of them, 8.01 lakh students passed the exam. The overall passing rate of Higher Secondary Certificate examinees under eight general education boards is 66.84 percent where the combined passing rate under all the 10 education boards, including madrasa and technical boards, is 74.70 percent. A total of 532 educational institutions have achieved 100 percent pass in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations across the country this year where a total of 848 institutions achieved 100 percent pass rate in the examinations last year while no students have passed from 72 institutions. The number of students who have achieved the highest grade GPA 5 under the 10 boards is 37,969.
Like this year's SSC exams, girls have done better than boys as their passing rate is 2.28 percentage points higher than their counterparts'. But, girls lagged behind boys in the context of achieving the highest grade. A total of 20,535 boys secured GPA-5, while 17,434 girls secured GPA-5. Students performed badly in English. More than 2.17 lakh students failed in this subject alone, according to the data provided by the boards.The passing rate is quite low than the previous year. Students from the science group under eight general boards did the best with a passing rate of 83.14 percent, followed by 69.65 percent in the business studies group. Sylhet board has achieved the highest passing rate with 72 percent while the passing rate of students under Comilla board is Only 49.53 percent.
The students who have passed HSC exam 2017, we congratulate them. But the students who have failed, we console them. Don’t be frustrated with your result that might be mistaken by the Board. So, you should call your exam papers for re-scrutiny. Your result may be changed if any mistake is made by the Board. First, you should understand about Re-scrutiny. for each subject, it will be charged Tk. 150. The subjects which have two papers like Bengali and English, it will be charged Tk. 300. In this case, the first paper code will be considered as two papers. After sending the SMS to 16222, you will get a confirmation message with a pin number.
